Cheqd, DataHive, Nuklai, and Datagram have formed the Sovereign AI Alliance, targeting Big Tech’s dominance through an open-source framework for decentralized artificial intelligence. Announced on May 1, the initiative prioritizes user-owned data and privacy-preserving systems.

The alliance’s Intention Network Protocol (INP) serves as its backbone, enabling secure collaboration among AI agents without sacrificing user control. INP comprises three pillars: Intention Anchors for data ownership, the Intention Mesh for decentralized communication, and Execution Nodes for privacy-centric operations.
